Thome Ship Management took over the M.V Stella Naomi on the 9th September.
On its last voyage, the vessel was loaded with iron ore in Hay Point, Australia, to discharge in Ijmuiden, Netherlands, which is a long voyage of 49 days. Various supplies, bunkering and surveys were planned in Ijmuiden, Netherlands.
All annual surveys, Interim ISM/ISPS/MLC audits were completed during the takeover.
Vessel Manager Mr. Shrikant Phavade, Training superintendent Capt. Yu, Marine superintendent Capt. Branko, IT specialist-Mr. Mate/Mr. Tak joined vessel on 7th September.
Capt Branko sailed with the vessel until the next discharge at Port Talbot, UK, to complete “On-the-Job” training to familiarize ship staff with Thome’s policies.
M/V Stella Naomi, is a 250,000 dead weight Capesize Bulk Carrier presently operated by Classic Maritime. The vessel is chartered with RWE Supply and trading GMBH for the long term.
The vessel trades worldwide- usually loading coal from Australia, Canada, Africa or South America to discharge in China / Korea or Europe.
The M/V Stella Naomi flies the Singapore flag with DNVGL Class and it was built in Sept 2016 at SWS Shipyard China. The main engine is a MAN B&W 6G70ME-C9.2 and the ballast water treatment system is by Samsung.
The vessel will be managed by Thome Ship Management Pte Ltd, under the care of Fleet Group 8.
