Protecting Your Personal Data

By Eleana Choy, Chief Human Resources Officer

Protecting individual personal data privacy is key to the Thome Group and the company is committed to protect the personal data collected in the course of its business operations. We ensure collection, usage, storage and disclosure of personal data is in full compliance to a number of personal data protection laws, including but not limited to the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 Singapore and the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Policies, processes and procedures that govern the collection and processing of personal data were reviewed and enhanced to ensure compliance to GDPR regulations.

Employees’ awareness is crucial to drive this compliance and training sessions were conducted for the Executive Team including employees who are involved in the collection and processing of personal data.

We have also conducted briefings to the rest of Thome’s employees, to create awareness of what GDPR is, their rights as employees pertaining to their personal data, as well as their responsibilities as employees at Thome if they notice any breaches or violations.

Read our Data Protection Policy section on the Thome Website. It will give you a good overview as it outlines the collection, usage, disclosure, transfer and storage of your personal data by the Thome Group as controllers of your personal data.
