Champion Tankers AS (Commercial manager) and Thome Ship Management (technical managers) confirm that the tanker Andrea Victory (IMO: 9288849) is en route to the port of Bandar Imam Khomeini in Iran with a cargo of sunflower seed oil originally shipped from Argentina.

Argentine sunflower seed oil falls under the category of agricultural products that are permitted to be imported into Iran under a general licence issued by the U.S. Government on humanitarian grounds.

Champion Tankers AS and Thome Ship Management have undertaken the necessary due diligence, including seeking counsel from an international law firm, to ensure there are no sanctions-related issues arising in connection with this shipment.
