Another successful Thome Officers’ Conference took place in Croatia this year, from 15-16th October 2018.
The main aim of the conference was to celebrate the successful and enduring relationships of all stakeholders within the Thome Group – seafarers, shore staff and our trusted Principals.
The conference provided an exciting opportunity to connect with all these stakeholders, exchange viewpoints, share best practices, collaborate and partner with each other to achieve success.
More than 90 of Thome’s seafarers and shore staff, together with a group of representatives from different principals, attended the conference in Zadar.
This year, the conference was designed to include more sessions in a workshop format and it also included an interesting “Partnering for Success” workshop focusing on Commitment, Collaboration, Communication and Trust.
The Conference was opened with a message from the Senior Management to all delegates, following by an update from the Technical Desk.
Commercial aspects, restructuring of the Quality Management System, Performance Management and E-Appraisal, were some of the very interesting topics discussed as well as an update on Port State Control and Vetting.
As a part of the conference concept, breakout sessions provided an excellent opportunity for the different principals attending the conference to gather together with Thome’s respective groups of officers.
