Position            : Technical Superintendent

Responsibilities

 

-     Implement and maintain a safe, cost efficient and environmentally sound operation standard in compliance with TSM Procedures for a given number of vessels.

-     Manage the daily operation of the number of vessels assigned to him in accordance with TSM Procedures & communicate Masters and Chief Engineers on important matters.

-     Evaluate and monitor the required reporting from the vessels, act as required and inform other office sections and external bodies as is relevant.

-     Follow up class and statutory certification status, condition of class and arrange for the necessary surveys and inspections.

-     Coordinate with the assigned vessels and prepare the dry docking specification, submit the specification to yards for quotations and evaluate the received quotations.

-     Maintain stringent cost control of operating budget including financial reporting.

-     Monitor the vessels performance trend and take necessary remedial actions.

-     Regular inspections of the vessels to ensure compliance.

-     Review monthly cost control and financial reports. Prepare input for the annual budgets for the vessels.

-     Follow up purchasing, monitor the orders from the vessel and approve invoices for payment.

-     Liaise with the Insurance Manager in claims handling.

-      Follow up the onboard maintenance system (AMOS), monitor the deficiencies and non-conformities from vetting inspections, port state control, audits and flag state inspections and close liaison with Marine department for closure of NCR’s.

 

Requirements

-     Previous experience as C/E for a minimum of 2 years onboard Tankers & Bulk carriers is essential.  A proven track record as Superintendent Engineer in a reputed shore based Shipping Company is necessary.

Position            : Crewing Executive / Senior Crewing Executive

Reporting to a dedicated key account Crewing Manager, the successful candidate will manage the day to day full spectrum crewing management of a dedicated portfolio of 10-12 tanker and/or large bulker vessels.

Responsibilities

·        Selection, recruitment and rotation planning all ranks on dedicated fleet

·        Arrange and coordinate marine travel arrangements

·        Secure the highest level of crew management performance excellence in accordance with STCW, oil major, flag stage requirements as meeting the high crewing standards of Thome Group. 

·        Key account function towards dedicated owners / customer service excellence

The role demands an individual with attention to detail and with a sense of organizing and sense of priority able to execute the purchasing function in an effective and streamlined way.

Responsibilities

·       Advice vessels on replenishment schedules

·       Prompt sending of inquiries, preparing quotations and placing orders (PO)

·       Ensures timely and economical supply of spare parts and stores

·       Monitor vessel rotation coordinate with forwarders and agents for timely delivery of orders

·       Verify goods delivered and invoiced amount

·       Responsible for the preparation of documents in accordance with company policies and procedures with regards to each purchase

·       Perform invoice matching, resolve discrepancies and handling of claims to vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts to facilitate smooth payment processing

·       Validation of bank details of new crew and changes to bank details of existing crew

Reporting to the Crewing Managers, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring proper coordination of travel for non-off signing officers and crew. The person will be responsible in maintaining update vessel rotation plans and execution of agreed crewing strategies, monitoring and compliance with relevant CBA's, monthly reporting on crewing matters, monitoring of crew agencies performance. Oversees compliance with company HSSEQ procedures and training matrix.

 

 

Functions and responsibilities are:

 

o    Ensure proper coordination of travel for non-off signing officers & crews in liaison

 

with the Crewing Manager, the Masters and Port Agents

 

o   Verification of crew qualification/documentations, handling Visas & Flag state certificates

The candidate will provide insurance coverage to vessels as per approval by the ship owners.  Manage to process all claims to capture all area on a timely manner.  Ensure expenses are reimbursed accordingly to owners based on the terms and conditions of the policy.  Provide legal assistance to owners to defend against claims.  And maintain close communication with concerning internal departments with regards to insurance matters.

 

 

Functions and responsibilities are:

 

o    Assists in arranging appropriate insurance conditions and coverage as per the Management

 

Agreement and as directed by Owners and Senior Management, and monitor the validity of the policy

o   Assists in preparation and arranging for renewals of fully management vessels insurance covers

as directed by Senior Management and check that subsequently issued insurance policies reflect the same

o   Assist in preparation of annual budgets when requested and update when renewal completed

o   Assists in coordinating with various in-house departments and the insurance underwriters and

brokers in the event of a hull and machinery claim and its eventual submission of the claim

o   Assist in monitoring and recording all hull and machinery and all crew P&I claims and its eventual

 

submission and/or settlement and closure  of claim files

 

o   Responsible for forwarding and returning of appropriate insurance rule books and list of agent's

 

books' for entering and leaving vessels

 

o   Ensures dispense of timely legal advice pertaining to crew claims under Philippine laws

·        Send order to relevant suppliers for quotations

·        Evaluate incoming quotations and confirm to choose supplier after approval by superintendent / Fleet Group Manager or higher authority

·        Give forwarding instructions to suppliers

·        Inform agents and vessels of deliveries planned during coming port calls. Liaise with the Agent, Supplier, Forwarder and the vessel as required to ensure safe delivery of goods and services.

·        Advise and updarte, Fleet Group Managers/Superintendents regarding current expenditures on stores and spare parts on an individual vessel basis

·        Checking of invoices connected with ordering and approval of invoices according to authority

 

 

Requirements

·       Relevant degree

·       At least 3 years of relevant experience
